To maintain an even flow of services for our clients, an endowment fund has been established. We know that during economic hard times it is difficult for our donors to sustain their financial support. However, it is during these same times that our clients need us most. Eventually, the annual interest from this fund will help maintain our program services even during difficult times. Our current goal is a fund balance of $100,000.
When making your estate plans, please consider the Housing Bureau for Seniors. Our endowment is managed by the Business and Finance Division of the University of Michigan. Fund managers in this office have the tools to assist with your charitable gift annuity, charitable remainder trust or your bequest. Contributions of gifts of stock or other securities may be added to the endowment fund as well.
Donations are tax-deductible and eligible for State of Michigan income tax credits as public contributions.
