Current Volunteers

Each year, volunteers continuing their service must complete an Annual Update to renew their credentials. Your update should be completed within 30 days prior to your ID badge’s expiration (noted on the front of your Volunteer ID badge).

You will receive a reminder email with instructions for renewing your credentials via the Volunteer Portal.

The Annual Update includes:

• Renewing your ID Badge
• Completing another health screening
• Criminal Record Check
• Signing the Code of Conduct Attestation
• Completing the Orientation refresher
• Updating personal information (addresses, emergency contacts, etc.)
• Signing the Memorandum of Understanding

Shift selection occurs prior to the start of a new session (semester/term) for current volunteers to change their placements and/or schedules. Shift selection is offered before each new session. Current volunteers, watch your email in March and November for details. 

Current college and graduate student volunteers must select a shift for the upcoming session (semester/term) to continue volunteering. Students should refer to a confirmed class schedule when choosing a new shift.

Community volunteers (non-students) may remain in their scheduled placements indefinitely, pending availability of placements. Those wishing to change their placement or schedule should contact volunteer services.
