Early Career in Hepatology Faculty Fund

This fund will help foster the autonomy that bright scientific minds need to explore bold ideas, support early-career faculty as they establish expertise in the field, and make transformational contributions to medicine.
Donate to fuel future breakthroughs

With your support, the Early Career in Hepatology Faculty Fund advances the work of emerging leaders in hepatology research, education, and care. Your gift fuels innovation and shapes the future of the field for decades to come.

In recognition of extraordinary research impact and leadership, we are directing this fund towards establishing a professorship in honor of Anna Suk-Fong Lok, M.D., the Dame Sheila Sherlock Distinguished University Professor of Hepatology and Internal Medicine, the Alice Lohrman Andrews Research Professor of Hepatology, and Professor of Internal Medicine.

Since joining U-M, Dr. Lok has established one of the nation’s largest and most respected hepatology programs and transformed the understanding and treatment of liver diseases. Her pioneering research has advanced care for viral hepatitis, liver disease, and cirrhosis, and her dedication to mentoring has shaped the future of the field.

This professorship will strengthen our commitment to fostering the next generation of hepatology faculty while honoring Dr. Lok’s legacy.
