Dr. Margaret Calarco Professional Development Fund

This nursing professional development fund supports educational initiatives to help nurses advance their knowledge and ability to provide exemplary care. The fund promotes innovation and sharing of new methods that improve patient outcomes.
Support nursing innovation

With your support, the Dr. Margaret Calarco Professional Development Fund helps nurses grow professionally and improve patient care.

Every year, the fund supports a workshop that helps nurses strengthen their writing. Clear, effective writing advances patient care and builds nurses’ careers by allowing them to:

  • Accurately communicate findings to coworkers, patients, and other stakeholders
  • Share lessons learned from caring for patients
  • Demonstrate the most effective approaches to care
  • Publish and share their professional projects

Your generosity helps nurses develop professional skills and expertise that will make a difference for patients in Michigan and beyond.

Thank you for your support.

Together, we are improving and saving lives.
