International Dinnerware Museum
About This Event

The International Museum of Dinnerware Design presents an exhibition featuring Glidden Pottery from its permanent collection. Glidden Pottery is a unique Mid-Century stoneware dinnerware that was manufactured in Alfred, New York, between 1940 to 1957.

While it utilized advanced manufacturing techniques, each piece was individually glazed and hand-decorated. The lively patterns include poodles, abstract designs, charming animal menageries, and more. The glazes and shapes were innovative at the time they were produced and won numerous prizes and awards. Pieces were included in television shows of the era such as I Love Lucy.
