Diabetes impacts our families and communities - the Caswell Diabetes Institute supports rigorous science and patient-centered clinical care to ultimately prevent, treat, and cure diabetes, its complications, and related metabolic diseases.
This center with JDRF, will focus on curing type 1 diabetes and helping those with the disease live healthy lives until cures are found. Research will focus on the biology of beta cells, human metabolism, complications, and psychosocial issues.
