As a ceramic sculptor, Kristin Kowalski draws inspiration from the natural environment and human interactions. Her artworks reflect her appreciation for nature and its beauty through ceramic techniques and processes. All her works are created with ceramic hand-building and glazing techniques that are reflected in the color, surface texture, and form of her sculptures. Kowalski holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree from The Columbus College of Art and Design. Kowalski has been teaching at Maumee Valley Country Day School as a fine art instructor since 2012.
